The GSK corporate office in Douala, Cameroon, is the hub for the central African region – Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Chad, Central African Republic and Sao Tome-et-Principe – with field based sales teams present in our main markets.
Globally, we research, develop and make available medicines that treat a variety of serious and chronic diseases. In central Africa, we provide treatment for major therapeutic areas such as respiratory, infectious diseases and allergies. As a responsible business, we take on healthcare challenges and create change to improve people's lives in the developing world. GSK has been a pioneer in HIV treatment, providing antiretroviral treatments for HIV patients. We have a growing vaccines business, and are active in the fight against diarrhoea and cervical cancer. We are also active in the fight against malaria and have been working for 30 years to develop the world's first vaccine to prevent this disease.
